Robert Slavkin, Elizabeth Hodge, Lindsay Dykstra, and Sheryl Rosen co-authored an article in Law360 titled, “Assessing Key Provisions of ACA Implementation,” which summarized key regulatory provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) proposed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
The regulations outline accreditation standards, essential health benefits, and actuarial standards to which plans must adhere. According to CMS, these rules will promote consistency across plans and provide protection consumers by ensuring a core package of benefits will always be offered.
