Akerman is pleased to announce that Miami Land Use attorneys Augusto Maxwell and Cecilia Torres-Toledo successfully represented Efrat Normandy, LLC before the City of Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board on May 13, 2025. The board unanimously approved a Certificate of Appropriateness for the redevelopment of a long-vacant parcel at 910 Marseille Drive.
The approved plan features a thoughtfully designed 10-unit residential project that sits below the allowable height, ensuring it remains in harmony with the surrounding Normandy Isle neighborhood. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Art Deco movement, the project’s rhythmic architectural design pays homage to Miami Beach’s historic character.
This redevelopment will introduce much-needed housing opportunities to the highly sought-after Normandy Isle area. The project has been recognized by Historic Preservation Board Chairman John Stuart as “a model for development in the area moving forward.”
Akerman congratulates Augusto Maxwell and Cecilia Torres-Toledo on this important win, which underscores the firm’s commitment to responsible development and historic preservation in Miami Beach.
