The firm grew to no. 77 on The National Law Journal's "NLJ 350" list, up from no. 80 last year, totaling a 4.8 percent increase in size. Akerman's new ranking is consistent with the firm's record growth for four consecutive years. The news comes only weeks after Akerman was reported by The American Lawyer as the top gaining law firm in the United States for lateral partner hires, with the largest percentage increase of total partnership last year.
