National law firm Akerman today announced that its commitment to diversity and inclusion continues to show impressive results. The National Law Journal recently released its LGBTQ and Women in Law Scorecards for 2023 and Akerman showed strong numbers in both rankings.

The LGBTQ Scorecard assesses the percentage of self-identified LGBTQ lawyers, including partners, associates, and other legal professionals, across all NLJ 500 firms. Akerman's significant rise in the rankings from #114 to #105 demonstrates an important advancement, with nearly 4 percent of Akerman lawyers identifying as LGBTQ.

The Women in Law Scorecard analyzes female attorney representation among NLJ 500 firms, comparing year-to-year changes. Akerman's 2023 ranking shows more than 39 percent of the firm's attorneys are women, exhibiting a significant 4.18 percent increase from the previous year.

Both rankings demonstrate the effectiveness of Akerman's efforts. Firm Chairman and CEO Scott A.
