Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, today announced the growth of the firm's Consumer Financial Services Practice Group with the following associates:  

Kimberly De La Cruz joined our Miami team in June. She received her J.D. from Florida International University College of Law and previously served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Jose Rodriguez, Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Kimberly is admitted to practice in Florida.

Katie Shepard joined our Tampa team in July. She received her J.D. from University of Kentucky College of Law and previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Joseph H. McKinley, Jr., U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. Katie is admitted to practice in Florida, Kentucky and West Virginia.

Martin Dungan joined our Dallas team in September. He received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jeffrey C. Manske, U.S. District Court, Western District of Texas. Martin is admitted to practice in Texas.

Nicholas Belay joined our Las Vegas team in September. He received his J.D. from University of Alabama School of Law and previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gloria M. Navarro, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, as well as a law clerk at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Civil Rights. Nicholas is admitted to practice in Illinois.

Anne Carrasco joined our New York team in September. She received her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law. Anne was an ethics and compliance manager at AECOM before joining Akerman. Anne is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Joseph Yoon joined our Los Angeles team this week. He received his J.D. from University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. Joseph is admitted to practice in California.
