Big Law observers are taking notice of Akerman's growth in two key markets in the Southeast. In a new article, the Daily Report highlights the growth of the firm's offices in Atlanta and Winston-Salem, NC. The Atlanta office, which Akerman opened in late 2018 with just three lawyers, is now home to 18 partners and 27 total lawyers across nine practice areas. The North Carolina office opened in 2019 and has quickly grown to 13 lawyers representing five practice areas.

The managing partners for both offices told the publication Akerman intends to keep up the pace of growth in both states.

"We want to make a strong, sustained effort to add to and grow this office out," Atlanta Office Managing Partner Jason Lichtstein told the Daily Report.

"We tend to have more work than people," Winston-Salem Office Managing Partner Paul Foley told the publication.
