Akerman lawyers were selected to receive inaugural Professional Excellence awards by the Daily Business Review. Michael Goldberg, co-chair of the firm's Fraud & Recovery Practice Group, was honored in the Distinguished Leaders category, which recognizes lawyers who achieved impressive results in the past year and demonstrated clear leadership skills that helped achieve those results. Partners Enjoliqué Aytch and Leanne Reagan were recognized in the On the Rise category, which recognizes up-and-coming legal industry leaders. Akerman's Intellectual Property Practice Group was named Litigation Department of the Year, with partners David Brafman, Peter Chiabotti, and Mark Passler noted as South Florida leaders.

The Daily Business Review will recognize the honorees at an awards reception on Wednesday, May 24, at the Rusty Pelican in Miami, Florida.
