Law360 has once again named Akerman a “Florida Powerhouse” firm for its depth and success in the Sunshine State. The firm has received the recognition nine times in the last 10 years.

In a recent article, Law360 cited the $300 million sale of a Miami Beach property and the $1 billion+ settlement for victims of the Surfside condominium collapse as highlights of the firm’s work during the past year. The article adds, “Scott Meyers, Akerman's chairman and CEO, said the keys to the firm's success in Florida are the same as those in all the places where they operate … he credits culture, excellence, an unwavering commitment to serving clients, supportive colleagues and giving back to the community.”

Litigation partner and Akerman Executive Committee member Michael Marsh was also quoted in the article. He said Akerman has grown almost threefold outside the state. The firm gives national clients the same high-level experience as in Florida, so national clients send their Florida matters to Akerman and Florida clients send their national work to the firm. "That's why we stay a powerhouse, not only in Florida but nationally," Marsh added.

Meyers told Law360 clients choose Akerman because its people provide outstanding services, deliver high-quality work, and are committed to the highest standards of professional excellence. "And because we win," he said.
