Amazon workers at a Staten Island warehouse voted against unionizing, one month after a neighboring warehouse formed Amazon’s first union in the United States. Traditional Labor Law Co-Chair Amy Moor Gaylord spoke with Law360 about the voting loss, saying that the union’s failed campaign stemmed from a range of workplace issues and differences from the first unionized warehouse, such as varying unit sizes and work conditions on the ground.

Gaylord was quoted, "The organizers who ran the election at the first facility knew those employees fairly well, whereas they didn't work at the second facility. It sounds like the organizers didn't take the time to understand the point of view of the employees at the second facility."
