Akerman Jacksonville Office Managing Partner and Board of Directors Member Christian P. George has been recognized by the Jacksonville Daily Record as a 2026 Business Trailblazer. The award honors the brightest minds in Northeast Florida's business community, recognizing leaders who have demonstrated exceptional success and achievement.
As Chair of Akerman's Financial Institutions Commercial Litigation Practice and a partner in the firm's Litigation Practice Group, Christian focuses on complex commercial litigation, creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and high-stakes financial institution disputes. He devotes his practice to protecting the rights of Fortune 500 companies and small businesses, shareholders, equity investors, members and partners in professional corporations, LLCs and partnerships, individuals, and families in all areas of commercial, bankruptcy, and real estate litigation.
In recognition of his leadership and impact, Christian serves as a member of the Jacksonville Civic Council, a group of business and community leaders focused on advocating for the community's long-term success, and on the University of Florida Alumni Association Board of Directors. He also served as president of the Jacksonville Bar Association Board of Governors and The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, an organization with more than 25,000 members.
