In The News

Featured in Miami Today, Dennis Kerbel reflects on his transition from more than two decades at the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s Office — where he led the Zoning, Land Use, and Environment Section — to his current role at Akerman, where he heads the firm’s Florida Land Use and Entitlements Practice. At Akerman, he continues to advance transformative development projects across Florida while applying his litigation expertise to complex land use matters. Dennis also serves as chair of Miami-Dade’s Charter Review Task Force, overseeing how new constitutional offices integrate with the county’s government structure. A Harvard and University of Pennsylvania Law School graduate, law professor, and seasoned litigator, he remains committed to strengthening Miami-Dade’s future.

As he told Miami Today, “I want to be able to say that I left a positive mark on the community and helped Miami-Dade County progress forward.”
