Litigation Partner Ellen Robbins was named one of five finalists of the Los Angeles Business Journal's Women's Leadership Symposium & Awards in the category of Community Impact Advocate, which honors women who “lead by example,” successfully blending effective business vision with a passionate commitment to positively making a difference, both in the world of business and in the communities they serve. Robbins was selected from among 300 nominees in the awards program, and was recognized for her commitment as a board member and mentor for Walk With Sally, which provides services to children's whose families are impacted by cancer; her leadership of Sandpiper Juniors, consisting of 120 high school girls engaging in regular community service activities, and her service on CHLA's Foundation Board of Trustees, as well as several other philanthropic endeavors.

With a focus on complex commercial disputes, she navigates the intricacies of state and federal courts, advocating vigorously for her clients' interests. Robbins has achieved notable successes in her legal career, including handling groundbreaking patent litigation involving the setting of reasonable royalties for standard essential patents, successfully obtaining dismissal of a series of complaints premised on alter ego liability, securing a $35 million judgment on alter ego and fraudulent transfer claims at trial, and advising clients on PFAS liabilities amidst increasing litigation at both state and federal levels.
