Charlotte Office Managing Partner Josh DeBottis has been named among the Charlotte Business Journal's 40 Under 40 list, which recognizes those who possess a strong record of leadership, performance in their industry, and meaningful community involvement. The recognition comes less than two months after Akerman signed a lease for its new office in Charlotte, North Carolina, while further expanding its national capabilities in energy and infrastructure.

Josh, who also serves as co-chair of the Renewable Energy and Electric Power Practice, focuses his practice on project finance transactions for energy and infrastructure assets, with a particular focus on solar, wind, storage, and other clean energy assets as well as data centers. He represents lenders, investors, and sponsors in a variety of debt and tax equity investment structures, including partnership-flip and sale-leaseback transactions. Josh also represents both buyers and sellers in tax credit transfers under the Inflation Reduction Act.
