Litigation Partner Julia Lissner has been named by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of the “Notable Nonprofit Board Leaders” of 2024. The list recognizes leaders who manage, mentor, innovate, and give back to their companies, industries, and communities.
Julia serves on Akerman’s Pro Bono Executive Council. She also has held leadership positions in a number of non-profit organizations, including the Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago, where she currently serves as Vice President and President-elect of the Women’s Board.
Julia represents public and private companies and individuals in a wide range of business disputes in state and federal courts nationwide. She has extensive experience in preparing cases for bench trials, jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations; handling appeals; and conducting internal investigations. Crain’s Chicago Business has previously included Julia on its “Notable Litigators and Trial Attorneys” and “Notable Women Lawyers” lists.
