Miami Office Co-Managing Partner Neisen Kasdin has been selected as a recipient of the Jurisprudence Award by ADL Florida, which recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the legal profession and the community at large while exemplifying the principles and mission upon which ADL was founded: to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all. Kasdin was honored during ADL's inaugural Partners Against Hate Luncheon, held at the JW Marriott Miami on Monday, November 13.

Kasdin, a former mayor of Miami Beach, brings extensive civic experience to his work focusing on urban revitalization. In the early ‘90s, he introduced the human rights ordinance in Miami Beach that helps to protect all residents, employees, and visitors from unlawful discrimination practices in employment, housing, and public accommodations. He served as vice chair of the board of directors for the Miami Downtown Development Authority and as chair of the Miami-Dade County Beacon Council. Kasdin also served as the board chair of the New World Symphony during the design and construction of the Frank Gehry-designed New World Center. Additionally, he has represented clients in emerging Miami neighborhoods like Little Haiti and Wynwood. His work to benefit communities has earned him honors. He was listed as a “Power Leader” by the South Florida Business Journal and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Urban Land Institute.

The ADL Florida Regional Office (ADL Florida) is part of a network of 25 regional ADL offices that operate in local communities and through programs and advocacy in Europe and Israel. It employs a multifaceted approach to combating antisemitism and hate of all kinds through education, research, and advocacy. Every day, the team is on the frontlines responding to incidents of antisemitism and hate in close collaboration with local law enforcement and community leaders.
