Press Release

Litigation Partners Joshua Mandell and Ellen Robbins have been selected as recipients of the Los Angeles Business Journal’s prestigious Leaders of Influence: Nonprofits and Philanthropy. The publication recognizes the community contributions of Los Angeles’ civic and business leaders by highlighting their work and commitment to the local community.

A distinguished litigator with a track record of significant victories in business and real estate disputes, Josh focuses his community efforts on youth education. As a member of the Board of Directors for Rotary Club of Los Angeles and the Chair of its Academic Scholarship Committee, Josh runs a scholarship program that annually awards $200,000-$250,000 to high-need and high-performing college-bound students across Los Angeles. Because of Josh’s work and track record of commitment, President Joseph R. Biden Jr. bestowed on him the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Volunteer Service in 2022.

Recognized as an elite litigator, Ellen represents global public and private companies in complex and high stakes disputes throughout the United States. Ellen’s philanthropic commitment shines through her involvement with a wide spectrum of organizations. Among her community endeavors, Ellen is a member of Sandpipers, a women’s philanthropy group, and in that capacity she has for several years chaired the Sandpiper Juniors program, a group of 125 high school girls committed to philanthropy and community service. Ellen also serves as a board member and mentor at Walk With Sally, an organization focused on supporting children impacted by cancer, as a trustee for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Foundation Board, and as an ambassador for the Sports Philanthropy Network.
