Akerman represented Soundcore Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, in its majority investment in Ridge Top Exteriors and the simultaneous launch of TrussPoint Roofing & Exterior Renovations, a new residential home exterior services platform. The transaction marks the 13th platform in Soundcore’s growing portfolio and further strengthens its presence in the home services sector.

The Akerman team was led by Corporate Practice Group Co-Chair David Birke, with support from Corporate Partner Matt Raby and Corporate Associate Wallace Stage.

Ridge Top Exteriors, headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, provides residential roofing, siding, windows and doors, gutters, and solar installation services across key markets in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Florida. As the initial investment in TrussPoint, Ridge Top will serve as the foundation for a scalable, multi-regional platform positioned to capitalize on demand for home repair and replacement services.

The deal follows a series of successful transactions in which Akerman has represented Soundcore, reinforcing the firm’s role as a legal partner of choice for private equity clients navigating complex investments and platform launches.
