Daniel Jacobson, a partner with Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, recently joined a trade delegation to Colombia as part of an initiative to facilitate international trade and development between South Florida and emerging economies across Latin America.

As chair of the Global Linkage Committee for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC), Jacobson and other delegates of GMCC's Global Linkage Program met with representatives from various governmental and business organizations in Colombia, including the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Invest in Bogota, the National Business Association of Colombia, Corferia Bogota, AmCham-Bogota, AmCham-Barranquilla, Puerto de Barranquilla and other prominent executives from various industries.

The groups explored growth opportunities in light of the U.S. Colombia Free Trade Agreement, including infrastructure investment and development, mining, production and trade.

Jacobson advises domestic and international clients in a wide range of industries, including healthcare, on various corporate matters.
