Akerman is pleased to share that Miami Land Use and Development attorneys Neisen Kasdin and Cecilia Torres-Toledo represented MDEV6 LLC, a subsidiary of 13th Floor Investments, before the Miami Beach City Commission and obtained unanimous approval for the first Commission Warrant entitlement ever issued by the City.
The Akerman team was led by Neisen, who also serves as Miami Co-Office Managing Partner.
A new entitlement process, a Commission Warrant, allows for flexibility in Code parameters to support innovative design. This Warrant approval enables the development of Casa Cipriani at 3611-51 Collins Avenue. Casa Cipriani is the top-of-the-line hospitality product from the international powerhouse Cipriani, known throughout Europe, the UAE, Asia, and North America for its over 25 restaurant locations, lounges, hotels, and branded residences.
The approved project includes hotel rooms, luxury condominium residences, a private members' club, a jazz club, state of the art spa and wellness facilities, and food and beverage venues. Casa Cipriani intends to recapture and reimagine the elegance of 1940s and 1950s Miami Beach, where the Grand Dame hotels made Collins Avenue an architectural marvel and Miami Beach “America’s Playground.” Casa Cipriani will be a contemporary Grand Dame that complements the existing historic district while redefining what luxury hospitality means in Miami Beach.
Akerman is proud to support transformative projects that honor Miami Beach’s legacy while advancing resilient, world-class development.
