Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, today announced the continuing expansion of its national Tax Practice Group with the addition of experienced trusts and estates partner Stacey Prince-Troutman in the Orlando, Fla., office. Prince-Troutman enhances Akerman’s significant experience in trusts and estates planning for individuals, families, trustees and foundations. She also furthers the firm’s ties in the business and legal community as a member of the Florida Probate Rules Committee.

Prince-Troutman represents individuals and families in probate, trusts and estates and transfer tax controversy matters and has significant experience working with business owners and professional athletes. She focuses her practice on administering estates and trusts, planning for wealth transfer and transfer tax minimization, preparing gift and estate tax returns, drafting sophisticated estate plan documents, drafting documents related to the formation, management and succession of closely held entities, wealth preservation planning, and forming and obtaining tax exempt-status for 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.

Prince-Troutman joins one of the nation’s leading tax teams, according to Law360. Active in the community and the profession, Prince-Troutman is a past member of the board of directors for the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and frequently speaks on asset protection and estate planning.

In addition to Prince-Troutman, the Orlando office has recently welcomed corporate finance veteran William Barnes and experienced land use lawyer Tara Gould. Other additions in the past year include litigators Terron Clark and Monica McNulty, as well as real estate lawyers Cindy Cambpell and Raymond Hernandez.
