Greg Limoncelli, co-chair of Akerman's Senior Living and Care Sector Team, has been reappointed chair of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Senior Housing and Assisted Living Committee. Greg first assumed the role in 2023 after serving as the committee's vice-chair.

The committee is part of the Residential, Multifamily, and Special Use Group within the ABA's Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section and addresses the legal issues distinct to senior housing, from continuing care retirement communities and assisted living facilities to the government subsidies that fund nursing care.

Greg, who also serves as a partner in Akerman's Corporate Practice Group, is based in the firm's New York office and represents financial institutions and borrowers in commercial lending, trade finance, receivables purchase, and workout matters, with experience spanning single-lender, unitranche, and syndicated facilities across cash flow, secured, asset-based, acquisition, and structured transactions.

His work in Akerman's Senior Living and Care practice includes preparing agreements for facility operators and advising on the acquisition, sale, management, and financing of assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and continuing care facilities. In addition to his reappointment, Greg is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
