Atlanta Office Managing Partner Jason S. Lichtstein has been elected to the Board of Directors of Community Friendship, Inc. (CFI), a Midtown Atlanta nonprofit that has worked for more than five decades to help adults recovering from mental illness build independent living, social, and workplace skills while providing housing and ongoing community support.

In this role, Jason will help guide CFI's efforts and strategic direction as part of its Board leadership. His term runs through May 2029.

Jason's connection to CFI traces back to his mentor, Frank Alexander, a former Emory University School of Law professor and past CFI Board Chair recognized nationally for his work addressing homelessness.

Jason is a seasoned environmental attorney with more than 25 years of experience, focusing his practice on the cleanup and redevelopment of brownfields and other contaminated sites across the Southeast U.S. His work spans environmental transactional matters, regulatory compliance, and state incentives, as well as emerging issues in sustainability law and policy. Jason has also been involved in drafting and advocating for brownfields legislation that expands incentives for site cleanup and redevelopment. He is ranked in Chambers USA for Environmental Law in Florida, listed in Best Lawyers for Environmental Law in Georgia, and was named to GaBiz Magazine's 2026 Top Lawyers List.
