Alejandro J. Fernandez, a partner in Akerman's Intellectual Property Practice Group, has been named among Florida Trend's 2026 Legal Elite Notable Intellectual Property Attorneys. Alejandro is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as an expert in Intellectual Property Law, a distinction he has held for nearly 20 years. He counsels clients on protecting their patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights and has represented clients nationwide and internationally at every stage of litigation. Clients and other attorneys frequently engage him to step into and efficiently resolve complex, contentious disputes. He also has two decades of experience drafting and prosecuting complex patents and has served as due diligence counsel on deals involving more than $700 million in transactions.
