Labor and Employment Partner Amy Gaylord was quoted in a Law360 article discussing how the first-ever White House task force aimed at increasing union organizing has received mixed reactions among labor and management lawyers. Many lawyers disagree about how far the federal government should go to encourage collective bargaining.

"It's misplaced for the federal government to be encouraging workers to pay an outside organization to talk to their employer," Gaylord said. "There's nothing that says the government can't go in and increase the minimum wage or offer incentives to pay higher wages. Do it directly."
