Labor and Employment Partner Amy Gaylord spoke to Law360 on the National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) plan to increase staffing at its regional offices and Washington, D.C., headquarters. Acting general counsel Peter Ohr is committed to increasing staffing at many of the boards 26 regional offices, which declined during the Trump administration. Labor lawyers expect that Ohr will keep his word that a wave of hiring will directly correlate with an increase in enforcement of the National Labor Relations Act and other pro-labor policy shifts.
"Once the budget is in place, Peter Ohr will act swiftly to increase staffing," Gaylord said. "I have never known him to shy away from taking action."
