In The News

Litigation Co-Deputy Chair Amy Graham Doehring has been featured in Chicago Magazine for her work on the Chicago Go Red for Women Executive Leadership Team, sharing her personal heart health journey and her commitment to empowering women to prioritize their cardiovascular health.

Amy brings a deeply personal perspective to her advocacy work. Her lifelong heart health journey, including multiple surgeries, has shaped her understanding of advances in cardiac care and the critical importance of awareness — particularly for women, who face heart disease as the leading cause of death in the United States.

"I am truly grateful that I'm here and healthy," Amy says in the profile. Her optimism for the future is equally compelling: "I am so excited to see what the next years will bring and the number of people who will be saved by medical advancements but spared open heart surgery."

Amy represents clients in complex litigation matters across multiple industries, serves on the firm's board of directors, and has been recognized by Benchmark Litigation as a "Litigation Star" and by Crain's Chicago Business in both "Chicago's Notable Litigators and Trial Attorneys" and “Chicago’s Notable Women Lawyers.”

Akerman proudly supports National Wear Red Day firmwide to raise awareness about women's cardiovascular health.
