Amy Moor Gaylord spoke to Law360 regarding a new White House task force on union organizing. The White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment was created on April 26, 2021, after President Joe Biden signed an executive order with the intention of increasing labor union organizing. Led by Vice President Kamala Harris and Labor Secretary Marty Walsh, the task force will examine how labor policy can strengthen collective bargaining. It will have a particular focus on helping workers in underserved communities.

“I’m curious to see if the task force will be going through existing policies and regulations to see if there are policies that are not currently being enforced,” Moor Gaylord said. “It will be interesting to see what comes of this and we will keep a finger on the pulse.”
