Carrie Ann Wozniak was appointed today to the Central Florida Foundation’s board of directors to advance its mission as a cornerstone of the community. Founded by retired Akerman partner Richard Hurt, the organization fosters partnerships across private and public entities to achieve positive outcomes on several fronts, including education and youth development. With Hurt as its first board chairman, the foundation has been a critical platform for Akerman clients and other institutions to further their philanthropic commitments.

A former Florida Supreme Court law clerk and board certified by the Florida Bar in Appellate Practice, Wozniak devotes her practice to representing clients in appellate litigation at the state and federal level, as well as commercial litigation. She also serves as general counsel to the Florida Bankers Association. Among her many civic and professional engagements in Central Florida and across the state, she has held several leadership roles within the Orange County Bar Association, served as vice chair of the Fifth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission and served on the Commission on the Orange County Business Court.
