Real Estate Associate Christopher Penelas has been appointed by the City of Miami Commission as a board member of the Bayfront Park Management Trust. The trust is charged with managing Bayfront Park, the city’s main park in downtown Miami along Biscayne Bay, “for the purpose of insuring maximum community utilization and enjoyment.” The trust also manages Maurice A. Ferré Park, a 30-acre park also located in the downtown area.

In his practice, Christopher focuses on land use, zoning, and government relations, representing clients before local governments and county boards. His experience includes code enforcement proceedings, zoning applications, ordinance modifications, site plan approvals, appeals, and other administrative and quasi-judicial processes.
