Super Lawyers Magazine named 11 Chicago-based Akerman lawyers in its 2025 issue recognizing many of Illinois’ top practitioners. The Akerman lawyers include seven ranked as “Super Lawyers,” a distinction that goes to top-rated practicing attorneys, and four ranked as “Rising Stars,” lawyers who are 40 years or younger or in practice for 10 years or fewer.

Notably, Sergio Acosta, co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Crime and Government Investigations Practice, was named among the “Top 100: 2025 Illinois Super Lawyers.” The list recognizes those who scored the highest among 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement as part of the publication’s rigorous selection process.
