Akerman’s pro bono partnership with the Legal Services of Miami (Legal Services) was profiled by the Florida Bar Journal in an article titled, “Pro Bono Collaboration has the Wheels Turning on the Justice Bus.”
On December 7, volunteers from Akerman’s Miami office and Legal Services traveled aboard the Justice Bus to Marathon Key to provide free legal assistance to local residents. During the one-day clinic, the volunteers assisted about 30 families dealing with a range of legal issues, including residents still struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane Irma’s landfall in 2017.
