Jaclyn Scarinci spoke to Bisnow about developers’ concerns following a New York Supreme Court ruling that could potentially force developers to tear down already-built floors from New York City high-rises. The state Supreme Court ruled a building permit given to the developers of a skyrise, which has already reached 52 stories, should be revoked. However, the developers were given the green light to move ahead with the project in 2018. The decision could have significant implications for other buildings under construction in Manhattan.

“I think a lot of our developer clients are very concerned about moving forward with projects given all the anti-development sentiment through the city,” Scarinci said. “We rely on predictability. We now have to keep this in mind as we move forward with projects.”
