In The News

Jonathan Gopman and Terron Clark were honored as 2018 Guardians of Justice for their outstanding pro bono work with Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida. In the wake of the Pulse Nightclub attack in 2016, Gopman was instrumental in creating a special Wills Clinic to assist low-income and LGBT members of the Orlando community with healthcare directives and end-of-life planning. Community Legal Services has made the clinic an ongoing event, and both Gopman and Clark volunteered their time to make the 2018 events a success. They will be recognized at an awards reception at the Citrus Club in Orlando on October 4, 2018.

Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida provides civil legal aid to help low-income people protect their livelihoods, their health, and their families. They address issues related to consumer protection, family law, children and education, domestic violence, elder abuse and neglect, health and income-related benefits, housing, and veterans’ benefits.
