Joshua Mandell spoke to the North Bay Business Journal about the growing cannabis business in California and how it’s affecting his legal practice. Mandell explained that much of his cannabis practice revolves around businesses complying with the Bureau of Cannabis Control’s regulations, which were finalized in January.
Mandell elaborated, “Some of the legal work we do on the transactional side is on structuring joint venture agreements among parties where one has the capital and one has the knowledge… Access to banking is a problem for all (cannabis) clients. Once that barrier is removed there will be a lot of additional growth.”
