Akerman is proud to share that Construction Associate Katrina Flores was selected to join the Urban Land Institute Southeast Florida/Caribbean's 2025 Leadership Institute. The Leadership Institute is an immersive professional development program focused on educating emerging leaders and preparing them to take on South Florida’s most critical real estate and land use issues.

Based in Miami, Katrina focuses her practice construction contract preparation and negotiation, and complex construction litigation matters. She represents owners and developers of residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate development projects in both transactional and litigation capacities.

The 2025 Leadership Institute cohort includes 36 land use and real estate professionals including developers, designers, attorneys, engineers, bankers, planners, brokers, and others from both the private and public sectors.
