LaKeisha Marsh, chair of Akerman's Higher Education and Collegiate Athletics Practice, provides college sports news outlet On3 her thoughts on the future of NCAA sports on the eve of Dartmouth’s men’s basketball players voting to unionize. The vote, scheduled for Tuesday, comes a month after National Labor Relations Board Regional Director Laura Sacks ruled the student athletes are employees of the college.

Because there can be a wide financial disparity between colleges, Marsh tells the publication multiple financial models may be adopted.

"I think you would need multiple models," Marsh told On3. "There is change on the horizon, for sure. We just have to see if it is going to be voluntary or if it will be forced."
