Law360 highlighted a patent infringement case led by Akerman’s Timothy Sendek, Stacy Baim, Robyn Bowland, and John Schafer on behalf of JST Corp. According to a recently unsealed opinion, a U.S. International Trade Commission judge determined that a Taiwanese electronics maker and an auto parts maker should be banned from importing electrical connectors that infringe on JST’s patent. JST had sued the both defendants in the ITC and Illinois federal court, accusing the company and its associates of stealing exclusive designs for JST’s connectors.
