In The News

Law360 recently spoke with Trusts and Estates Practice Chair Stacey Prince-Troutman about the growing number of large law firms investing in these practice areas. Akerman has long offered clients trust and estates legal counsel and Prince-Troutman highlighted why it has been so successful.

"It's a matter of not isolating the trusts and estates practice, but making it an important part of the services being offered to high-net-worth individuals," she told the publication. She added that the practices are excellent generators of new business across the firm, including for real estate and litigation work unrelated to trust and estates.

Akerman's trusts and estates practice is ranked Tier One in the United States by U.S. News – Best Lawyers. The group provides high-net-worth individuals and families a number of services including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, business succession planning, charitable planning and charitable trusts, and family, marital, and elder law. Our lawyers also advise non-U.S. citizens on inbound planning.
