Legal media, including Law360 and Law.com, reported on Scott Meyers’ succession as Akerman's Chairman and CEO. He began a three-year term on February 1. Meyers will further advance the firm’s strategic, client-driven roadmap, and address challenges affecting the firm’s many communities. Before stepping into his role as chairman and CEO, Meyers served as the firm's managing partner.
“Law360: What are your goals for the firm over the next five years?
Meyers: There are two categories. One would be external and the other would be internal. Focusing on external objectives, I see us continuing what I would characterize as our client-driven smart growth strategy. We will continue to grow in the markets where we are. From an internal perspective, we’ll continue what I would characterize as our focus on a high-trust culture. It requires having an environment where you have very credible leadership, very open and honest, accessible, available leadership.”
