Akerman is proud to share that Michael Marsh and Grasford Smith have both been named to Lawdragon’s “500 Leading Lawyers in America” list. Lawdragon is a leading legal industry publication and selects the lawyers for this annual list through submissions, journalistic research and editorial vetting from a board of peers.

Marsh is a partner in Akerman’s Litigation Practice group and this marks his seventh consecutive appearance on the Leading Lawyers list. As an experienced first chair trial lawyer, he represents clients in high stakes business disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States. In addition to this latest recognition, Marsh has also been recognized by Chambers and Benchmark Litigation as a Litigation Star. Marsh is a member of Akerman’s Executive Committee and is based in Miami.

Smith, who is also a litigation partner, has made Lawdragon's list since 2021. He focuses his work on complex commercial litigation and is certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Civil Mediator. Smith’s clients include Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and athletic leagues. He is based in our West Palm Beach office where he is also the president of the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
