Michael Marsh and Grasford Smith have both been named to Lawdragon’s “500 Leading Lawyers in America” list. Lawdragon is a leading legal industry publication and selects the lawyers for this annual list through submissions, journalistic research, and editorial vetting from a board of peers.

Michael is a partner in Akerman’s Litigation Practice Group, and this marks his eighth consecutive appearance on the Leading Lawyers list. As an experienced first chair trial lawyer, he represents clients in high stakes business disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States. In addition to this latest recognition, Michael has also been recognized by Chambers and Benchmark Litigation as a Litigation Star. Michael is a member of Akerman’s Executive Committee and is based in Fort Lauderdale.

Grasford, a nationally recognized litigator focused on complex disputes, has been ranked by Lawdragon as among the United States’ Leading Lawyers since 2021. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and athletic leagues. He is certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Civil Mediator. Grasford currently serves on the Florida State University College of Business Board of Governors and the Florida Bar Board of Governors. He recently concluded terms as president of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, chair of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, and chair of the American Heart Association of Palm Beach County. He was recently named among the “Global 100” by ICABA World Network.
