A leading team of legal cannabis experts participated in the Health Care and Life Sciences Industry Group Meeting during the 2018 Lex Mundi Leadership Summit and Annual Conference in New York on April 26-28, 2018.  The panel included: Jonathan Robbins, Chair of Akerman's Cannabis Practice; Thomas A. Zalewski, a partner at Day Pitney, LLP and member of the Healthcare and Life Sciences Team; and Tricia Kuhl, a partner in the Montreal office of Blakes who advises clients on sophisticated transactional matters in a variety of industries, including the burgeoning Canadian cannabis industry.  The panel discussed emerging issues in the legal medical and adult-use marijuana space including the conflict between state and federal law in the United States, the exploding Canadian market and cross-border transactions.
