Lillian Moon and Gail Gottehrer co-authored an International Law Quarterly article titled, “Duty Free? The Effect of International Data Privacy and Protection Laws on Employers’ Ability to Monitor Business Emails of Employees Working Outside the United States.” The authors discussed best practices and compliance challenges faced by employers with a global workforce, in particular when it comes to investigations of business communications and disciplinary actions against U.S. employees on international assignments.
