City & State Florirda has named Akerman lawyers Neisen Kasdin and Luis A. Perez to its "South Florida Power 100" list. The publication is a news leader covering local and state politics. Its Power 100 list recognizes the most powerful individuals in South Florida politics and government. Among their many accomplishments, Kasdin and Perez are co-managing partners of Akerman's Miami office.

Kasdin is a partner in the firm's Real Estate Practice Group and well-respected in Miami, having served as mayor of Miami Beach and a leader in the revitalization of South Beach. He has also served as vice chair of the board of directors for the Miami Downtown Development Authority and was responsible for leading the creation of Miami’s Downtown Master Plan. In addition to large-scale projects, Kasdin has represented clients in developments in emerging Miami neighborhoods such as Little Haiti and Wynwood. He is recognized by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 as a leading land use and zoning lawyer in Florida.

Perez chairs the firm's Latin America and the Caribbean Practice, an internationally recognized team providing legal counsel across multiple disciplines.
