Michael Goldberg, co-chair the Fraud & Recovery Practice Group, was quoted in an article by The Real Deal New York titled, “Black’s Money: A Bizarre Co-Working Scheme and the Global Rise of Online Real Estate Fraud.” Goldberg addressed the complex, arcane nature of online real estate schemes, as well as how difficult these crimes are to untangle, in particular when it comes to getting hold of funds stolen through those illegal activities.

The Real Deal New York wrote, “[Goldberg] said he has unearthed funds from places like the Cayman Islands, in part because tax havens have become more cooperative in recent years amid U.S. pressure, but conceded that it’s not easy.”
