Michael Larson has been elected to serve on the Florida Brownfields Association’s (FBA) Board of Directors and as FBA’s  President-Elect. Michael’s term on the Board will run from 2025-2026, and he will serve as President-Elect in 2025. The FBA is a state-wide not-for-profit service organization dedicated to advancing Brownfields cleanup and redevelopment and is committed to advancing environmental justice in Florida. The FBA regularly holds conferences and events with key industry stakeholders and has been instrumental in effectuating the passage of state Brownfields-related laws.   

A Partner in Akerman’s Litigation Practice Group, Michael’s practice focuses on advising clients on complex environmental law issues arising in litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters. He routinely assists clients with the cleanup, reuse, repurposing, and redevelopment of Brownfields and other contaminated or distressed properties. In addition to FBA, Michael is a member of the Urban Land Institute North Florida and the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals, Tallahassee Chapter.
