International Practice Chair Pedro Freyre was quoted in a Daily Business Review article, titled "Attorneys See More Favorable Business Climate in Argentina Thanks to Election of New President." The article centered on Argentina's president-elect Maurico Macri, who pundits see as a conservative leader. Freyre discussed how this new leadership may alter the legal landscape and positively affect U.S. companies doing business in the region.

"All of us who work with Argentina see this as a very positive development," Freyre told the publication. "You have a new president who is focused on getting the economy going again and incentivizing private enterprise. There is a sense that foreign investors will get a fair shake, that the sanctity of business contracts will be respected in a way that they were not under the previous government."
