Akerman LLP released its 2021 financial results, reporting spikes in profitability and revenue over the fiscal year. The firm, among the first to report its financial results this year, said its average equity partner profits surged by 21.55 percent, and said it also saw a 9.3 percent jump in gross revenue, to $493.7 million. Akerman Chairman and CEO Scott Meyers attributed the increases to "huge, pent-up demand" from clients spanning litigation, regulatory and transactional work.
"It has been an incredibly busy year for the firm," said Meyers.
