In The News

The growth of the commercial trucking industry in the latter half of the 20thcentury has spurred Congress to develop various laws and regulations to deal with its effects on the motoring public. In a new article published by Law360, insurance industry lawyer Rick Boepple dissects one of those developments in the realm of insurance and financial responsibility laws – the promulgation of the MCS-90 endorsement. In the article, Mr. Boepple examines the history and promulgation of the MCS-90, and the various ways courts have applied and construed the endorsement's interstate commerce requirement.

"[P]ractitioners in commercial trucking matters would be remiss not to be cognizant of the variations among the courts on the MCS-90's interstate commerce requirement," Mr. Boepple wrote.
