Litigation Of Counsel Ricky Patel was honored by the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of South Florida (APABA) as a 2025 Trailblazer at its annual Executive Board Installation Gala. The award recognizes the achievements, commitment, and leadership of lawyers in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

Dedicated to improving lives in South Florida and beyond, Ricky’s steadfast commitment to protecting human rights led him to create a foundation called ITS4THEKIDS, which provides resources to children in need. He has also worked extensively with an array of organizations, including The United Way, Gracious Hands Haitian Orphanage, Fashion Gives Back, which he co-founded, and Puerto Rico Relief. He serves as vice chairman of the board of advisors for his alma mater, St. Thomas University School of Law, and he previously served as chair of the board of trustees for the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami.

Ricky focuses his practice on a wide array of issues, including complex litigation in state and federal court, crisis management for high-profile clients, and mass torts. He regularly works with hospitality industry clients and has been actively involved with the Asian American Hotel Owners’ Association from early on in his career.

The APABA is a nonprofit, voluntary bar association of attorneys in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties dedicated to serving as a resource to Asian Pacific Islander American attorneys in South Florida. APABA provides impactful programming, offers career and academic counseling services, and promotes the common interests of its members.
